In September 2021, the import volume of mixed aromatics was 28300 tons, a month on month decrease of 75.15% and a year-on-year decrease of 94.45%, and the export volume of mixed aromatics was 0200 tons, a month on month increase of 74.07% and a year-on-year decrease of 39.75%.

In September, the import volume of mixed aromatics continued to decrease compared with the previous month, and the decline was large. The import volume fell to single digits, less than 30000 tons. Since the consumption tax on imported mixed aromatics was levied, the industry's import enthusiasm dropped sharply, and the import volume continued to fall. At the same time, the crude oil price was high, the import cost was high, and the industry's import enthusiasm was extremely low.

According to customs statistics, the top three sources of imports in September were South Korea, Taiwan and Japan, with imports of 12000 tons, 8700 tons and 3800 tons respectively, accounting for 42.35%, 30.56% and 13.57% respectively.

In September, the main import trade modes were general trade, incoming processing trade and logistics goods in areas under special customs supervision, of which general trade accounted for the largest proportion, with an import volume of 23300 tons, accounting for 82.12%, followed by incoming processing trade, with an import volume of 3000 tons, accounting for 10.5%, and a small amount of logistics goods in areas under special customs supervision, with an import volume of 2100 tons, Accounting for 7.38%.

In September, the top three registered places of import enterprises were Zhejiang Province, Jiangsu Province and Shanghai, with import volume of 15500 tons, 5000 tons and 3700 tons respectively, accounting for 54.86%, 17.82% and 12.92% respectively.

In October 2021, the domestic demand for gasoline was acceptable, but the international crude oil rose sharply, the price rose to a high level in recent years, and the import cost was high. At the same time, after the formal implementation of the consumption tax, the import enthusiasm of the industry continued to decrease. It is expected that the import volume of mixed aromatics in October will still maintain a single digit level, and the export volume will continue to be low.
