On October 31, the 4th China International Chemical Process Safety Seminar opened in Suzhou. Chinese and foreign experts and scholars focus on the theme of "promoting chemical process safety management and effectively preventing major accidents", sharing and sharing new concepts, new technologies and new achievements in chemical process safety management, and in-depth discussions on effective measures to enhance the intrinsic safety level of the chemical industry. Sun Huashan, deputy director of the emergency management department, attended the meeting and gave a speech on "accelerating the intrinsic safety level of the chemical industry and effectively preventing the major safety risks of chemical industry."

Sun Huashan emphasized that vigorously improving the intrinsic safety level of the chemical industry, fundamentally eliminating or reducing safety risks, and shifting the focus of risk control to the source of risk emergence is an important measure to ensure safe production. It is necessary to highlight high-risk products and high-risk process substitutions, and promote enterprises to use low-risk chemicals to replace original high-risk raw materials and materials, and encourage enterprises to carry out process optimization or change process methods to reduce safety risks. It is necessary to highlight the sources of risk reduction, strictly analyze the safety risk assessment and prevention and control risks of new projects, and resolutely eliminate enterprises that do not have safe production conditions, backward technology and poor security. It is necessary to highlight key management and control, focus on the safety risks of major hazards, pay close attention to the safe production of key areas of hazardous chemicals, and implement full life cycle management and control. It is necessary to highlight the safety supervision of chemical parks, carry out quantitative risk assessment for chemical parks, and implement risk classification and precise governance. It is necessary to highlight automation and intelligent transformation, vigorously promote mechanization substitution, and reduce people by automation, effectively reducing the risk of personnel injury and the probability of accidents caused by human factors.

Li Yaping, deputy secretary of the Suzhou Municipal Party Committee and mayor, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony. Qian Feng, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, vice president of East China University of Science and Technology, Lin Bo, vice chairman of the International Chemical Manufacturers Association (AICM), and technical director of the Chemical Process Safety Center of the American Chemical Engineers Association. Experts and scholars such as Louisa Nora delivered keynote speeches on issues such as intelligent risk assessment of hazardous chemicals, practice of Responsible Care in China, and process safety management systems.

It is understood that this session is composed of China Chemical Safety Association, International Exchange and Cooperation Center of Emergency Management Department, Chemical Registration Center of Emergency Management Department, Chemical Process Safety Center of American Chemical Engineers Association, China University of Petroleum (East China), and international chemical manufacturer. The association and other units jointly held and received positive response from the United States, France, Germany, Switzerland, Australia, South Korea, Norway, Saudi Arabia, India, Malaysia and other countries and domestic chemical companies, chemical safety experts and scholars, nearly 1,000 participants .

This seminar set up three sub-meetings, such as process safety management, risk identification analysis and control, fine chemical safety management and technology, and held the 7th seminar on risk management and hazard management in the chemical industry, the 11th International Medicine, Chemical process safety technology seminar, seminar on hazardous chemicals safety management regulations, the 4th China International Chemical Safety Technology and Equipment Exhibition and other activities. In addition, on October 29-30, the organizers also organized three technical trainings based on risk-based process safety, safety instrument system functional safety and quantitative risk analysis taught by US and European safety technology experts. Through the joint efforts of many parties, China International Chemical Process Safety Seminar has become the largest international conference in China's chemical safety field, with the widest coverage and the strongest professional influence.
