Application:

1).Methyltriphenylphosphonium Bromide is a lipophilic molecule with a cation allowing for it to be used to deliver molecules to specific cell components. Also considered an antineoplastic agent.

2).Wittig reagent, for the preparation of olefins, to increase the number of unsaturated carbon-carbon chain. Ylide precursor Wittig reaction, the liquid crystal material widely used in the synthesis of the unsaturated bond. In organic synthesis are also widely used. Good cationic phase transition catalyst.
