Aluminium Sulfate is white lustrous crystalline, granular or powder. Stable in the air, soluble in water, insoluble in ethanol, acidic solution. Aluminum sulfate is usually used as flocculant, used for purification of drinking water and sewage treatment equipment, but also for the paper industry.

1.Aluminum sulfate is used as a flocculant in the treatment of drinking water, industrial water and industrial wastewater. When aluminum sulfate is added to such water, it can form a colloidal aluminum hydroxide flake which can adsorb and precipitate bacteria, colloids and other suspended materials, and can be used in drinking water treatment to control the color and taste of water.

2.It is not easy to weather and lose crystal water. It is relatively stable, heating will lose water, and high temperature will decompose into oxides of alumina and sulfur.
